Who We Are
Pooling Academy is an on-line learning center built by the pooling community, for the pooling community. Created together by AGRiP, CAJPA and NLC-RISC, Pooling Academy supports the professional development needs of public entity pools.
Our goal is to educate by:
- Offering a blend of on-demand and real-time instruction
- Using carefully selected content creators and faculty
- Developing dynamic, interactive content using best practice methods for adult and online learning
Pooling Academy courses are available on demand. The content is similar to coursework at the post-graduate academic level, keeping the public entity pooling workforce nimble and knowledgeable about the environment in which pools do business.
History
Pooling Academy began as a simple idea sketched on the back of a napkin a few years ago (yes, really).
AGRiP conducted market research and surveyed pooling executives from across the country to determine the need for this type of educational tool. The response was overwhelming: professional online education that is specific to public entity pooling is a must-have.
Because the pooling community is collaborative by nature, it only made sense to partner with other pooling associations to build Pooling Academy. That work began in 2020.
Using a broad swath of experts from across the pooling community, preliminary content in Pooling Academy was released in 2022. Additional content will be added, ongoing.
